Operations and Maintenance

United Water is a full service provider to the water industry, specialising in the management, operation and maintenance of the complete range of assets for water and wastewater treatment, and all associated networks. We have specific expertise in optimisation of water and wastewater treatment processes.

Customer Service and Network Management

Our dedicated and highly skilled Operations Centre and Networks teams work together to provide outstanding service to our customers. Independently measured customer satisfaction ratings place United Water’s customer service well ahead of industry standards and among the best rankings for any major business category in Australia.

Engineering

Our Engineering and Design team has extensive project experience across Australia and New Zealand, and exposure to international projects through the global network of our parent company Veolia Water. Our engineers and designers work in partnership with our clients to provide solutions to a sustainable water supply, and sustainable management and operation of treatment plants and networks.

Research and Development

United Water’s world-class Research and Development team continues to break new ground across more than 15 major projects. Our research program is based on local conditions and issues, and many projects are conducted in collaboration with key users at the local level. An example is our Aquifer Storage Transfer and Recovery (ASTR) project, conducted in conjunction with the City of Salisbury, CSIRO Land and Water, Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation, SA Water and the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Natural Resources Management Board. This, like many of our projects, has attracted international attention for its significance in developing solutions for sustainable water supplies.

United Water operates under five guiding principles relating to environmental protection:

Commit to continual resource optimisation including waste minimisation, reuse and recycling

Each year we develop and implement an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) that works towards meeting these principles.
